This is the hardest game I have ever played. I haven't even made it past the second fucking level yet (I've owned it since release). 😩

They made it frustratingly difficult and grindy to pad the game time. There's like 2 hours of gameplay.

Yeah if its hard am gonna stick with Touhou but i could try it :P

[–] zhenbo_endle@lemmy.ca 7 points 1 week ago

I would suggest every person to have a try. Even you feel SIFU too hard, you can only play 30 minutes.

This is the only game which gives me the feeling that I’m inside a 1980s Hong Kong Kung Fu movie. The only game.

Tried yo play it yesterday but I didn't recognized my dual sense controller.

Downloaded trough epic and added it to steam.

Started it with steam, without steam, with steam input enabled, with steam put disablet, with steam input enables and dualsense enabled in system settings.

It wouldt always display the m+k controls. After 20mins I gave up and said "if you don't want to be played..."

Have you tried DS4Windows?

https://ds4-windows.com/

The fact of the matter is that xinput remains the standard for controllers on PC. Use any other type of controller and you will have to fiddle around. It's the input equivalent to having an ultrawide display.

Sorry to hear that. I have a long backlog so I haven't tested it yet.

Dang I just found out about this game and added it to my steam wish list last week. Probably will still pick it up on steam for a sale in the future anyways

Why would you downvote this? 🀷

Maybe they don’t like the game?

[–] Blisterexe@lemmy.zip 49 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Probably they don't like epic

Probably they don’t like epic

Neither do I but Epic pays money to the developers for the free games, so by clicking on them the developers are being supported and Epic loses money (if you don't buy the add-ons then).

I don't much care for them either but...it's free. You should claim it because you don't like them.

But then you have to touch their store, plus you're boosting their metrics for user count

[–] jan75@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 week ago

You can get the free games over their website, if you don't want to install the client. You are right about boosting their numbers though.

Define "touch"

[–] blackris@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 1 week ago (2 children)

But can you just download and play it on Linux via Steam/Proton or do you need to install their launcher?

[–] Lileath@lemmy.blahaj.zone 13 points 1 week ago (2 children)

You can download it via Heroic, which also works for GoG and some other services.

[–] Ulrich@feddit.org 3 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Yeah that's what I use as well

Heroic also works on Mac and Win.

Sign into your Epic account, set Heroic to automatically add games to Steam, then launch from Steam.

You can use Bottles,Heroic,Lutris but Heroic was Less problematic + the only con its electron but i could just close the launcher while in a game its not a big deal

[–] MITM0@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

Of course it is, It's Epic after all

[–] averyminya@beehaw.org 1 points 1 week ago

Been waiting on this one a while, always glad to get something for free even if I hate Epic. Always glad that I can get it on browser too.
