~~made an awkward gesture~~ forgot he wasn't supposed to do the Nazi salute in public in a moment of enthusiasm...
FTFY

[–] filcuk@lemmy.zip 3 points 8 hours ago

Forgot? Why should he care? There appear to be no repercussions to his behaviour.
Unfortunately, it seems these people can do whatever the hell they want.

Maybe he had no1 near he could've given a hug. Or nobody near wanted to hug a Nazi. So this 'awkward gesture' was his cry for help. To help him take the burden of billions and billions off of him. And ask Betty Ford centre to take care of him for the next decades.

If it was a genuine mistake he would have sincerely apologised. Only a nazi doesn't apologise for making a nazi salute.

Is "Thanks guys" the only comment he's made on the topic?

(Asking here because I don't have a twitter account)

[–] tyo_ukko@sopuli.xyz 6 points 10 hours ago

I remember reading he also just laughed it off and said people are just paranoid and see what they want to see.

A pretty good tell-tale sign of a fascist is that they will never apologize or admit doing wrong. You have to appear strong at all times.

People seem to forget that the ADL is not a Jewish advocacy group, they are an Israeli lobby group. Israel is a far-right government that is actively engaged in genocide.

[–] inv3r5ion@lemmy.dbzer0.com 10 points 1 day ago

Also remember it’s in Israel’s best interest to conflate Jews with zionists and make people worldwide hate Jews so they make Aaliyah to Israel and create babies for the IDF. Also the goal of the “birthright” program (what a fascist name right?!)

Lot of businesses backed up Hitler and his Nazis too.

A lot of them even came out of that whole situation in pretty good shape.

IBM, Coke, and Ford had no issues doing business in nazy germany, even if they were under a different name. Business only cares about steady and growing revenues/margins no matter how it comes about it.

If Elon walked out wearing a red arm band with a swastika, the ADL would be talking about its history as a Hindu symbol.

[–] tyo_ukko@sopuli.xyz 3 points 10 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago)

"Mr. Musk has provided us with another delicate moment, demonstrating the ancient Roman salute combined with a Hindu symbol. It appears that the talk about the AI-operated gas chambers was a bit of an awkward slip, and it's best we do not further aggravate the division of our nation."

[–] Count042@lemmy.ml 99 points 1 day ago (6 children)

Never forget that the ADL spied on American citizens for Apartheid South Africa on behalf of Israel during the Reagan administration.

The ADL are defenders of genocide. Is it any wonder they'd be pro-Nazi?

He's laughing at them. He feels so safe.

He's laughing with them, they're out there gaslighting people for him.

Reminder that Zionists like to collaborate with antisemites, in the hopes of accelerating emigration to Israel.

[–] Not_mikey@slrpnk.net 20 points 1 day ago

Not so fun fact: early on Hitler was a zionist, or at least considered it a good "solution" to the "Jewish question" before he came up with the final solution.

Regardless of if he intended to do a Nazi salute or not exposing the public to that level of cringe should be a capital offense.

Anti-Defamation League. Basically a zionist organization that goes after anything they percieve as being anti-semitic. Their definition of anti-semitic typically seems to include vocally supporting Palestine & not supporting Israel.

Part of what makes this noteworthy is they call anti-semitism often in dubious cases where it is not present - so them defending Elon sieg heiling multiple times is unusual, but also likely a calculated move to not distance their organization from president musk's administration.

It used to be Anti-Defamation League but it's looking more like AIPAC Defense League.

[–] bdonvr@thelemmy.club 62 points 1 day ago (1 children)

They're an organization that calls out antisemitism.

Problem is saying anything against Israel, or pro-Palestine will get you on their public list of antisemites, along side your local neo-nazi militia members.

It's Zionist propaganda and intimidation.

Nazis defend a nazi doing a nazi salute. Color me shocked.
