Well they all collectively chose a high risk, high reward and highly fascist regime over lower risk, lower reward one. So let them cower in terror of being struck down because the quality of their ass kisses were not adequate.

Back of that dudes throat is so bruised

He's literally the worlds richest cuck.

[–] TseseJuer@lemmy.world 14 points 7 hours ago

I don't think the Cheeto can hit the back of anyone's throat

[–] Captainautism@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 7 hours ago

Just his gums

[–] Wispy2891@lemmy.world 49 points 17 hours ago

AND decided to settle a lawsuit that Trump had no way to lawfully win for a $25 million "donation"

[–] AlternatePersonMan@lemmy.world 210 points 1 day ago (4 children)

What's the point of being a billionaire if you still have to kiss ass. What a loser.

[–] Empricorn@feddit.nl 29 points 17 hours ago* (last edited 17 hours ago) (1 children)

That's why it's so pathetic: he doesn't have to. If Bernie Sanders were elected, a wealth tax implemented, etc, Meta would still exist and his quality of life wouldn't change at all. He chooses to suck up to Trump, which is about as "small dick energy" as you can get...

Yup, and all so he can get even richer.

The philosopher Diogenes was eating bread and lentils for supper. He was seen by the philosopher Aristippus, who lived comfortably by flattering the king. Said Aristippus, "If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils."

Said Diogenes, "Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king." - 370 BC

[–] tigeruppercut@lemmy.zip 6 points 13 hours ago

At least in this story Aristippus is gaining something tangible, and presumably he was eating bread and lentils before he sucked up to the king. In Zuck's story, before licking the orange butthole he already had everything. He had to taste spray tan and dingleberries to make his imaginary numbers say something slightly different on paper without changing anything about their impact on his life.

[–] skulblaka@sh.itjust.works 5 points 14 hours ago

The King: RADICAL ANTI-MONARCHY TERRORISTS are using LENTILS to BAIT YOUR CHILDREN INTO SEX CULTS. This cannot be allowed to continue!!! We MUST remove ALL LENTILS from ANY CIVILIZATION IN THE WORLD IMMEDIATELY.

[–] jballs@sh.itjust.works 14 points 18 hours ago

It's impressive and also a little bit depressing how accurate that quote is from almost 2,500 years ago. Shows humanity really doesn't change.

[–] codexarcanum@lemmy.dbzer0.com 36 points 22 hours ago

In a rich man's house, there's no where to spit except for his face.

[–] Jhex@lemmy.world 23 points 21 hours ago

but the King overheard and thought "I have to make lentils so much more expensive then..."

[–] Akasazh@feddit.nl 3 points 14 hours ago

Also when Alexander visited him he told Diogenes to ask him for whatever he wanted. He said 'Could you step aside and get out of my sun?'

[–] teft@lemmy.world 7 points 21 hours ago

If I were not teft, I would be Diogenes.

[–] Badland9085@lemm.ee 8 points 22 hours ago

For some, human pride and dignity have literally no value, or is something they will hold simply to trade it off whenever convenient, especially in a world that can value it, so it’s just like a commodity.

Ahh Zuckerberg, the Chechnyan Molly dealer.

[–] Majorllama@lemmy.world 13 points 17 hours ago (5 children)

I think this has to do more with the popular vote going to Trump than anything Trump did specifically. They all collectively shat on him or didn't interact with him from 2016 and all through Bidens presidency.

They saw that public opinions has shifted so badly that Trump swept everything and won the popular vote. Suddenly they are all his best friend.

They never cared. They just want to be in the "side" more people like. you're forgetting that money/power is what drives these people. They saw more money in power in bashing Trump or siding with the Democrats until the 2024 election happened. Now they feel they can get more money and power by siding with Trump.

[–] TheObviousSolution@lemm.ee 1 points 4 hours ago

So what? Either reason is bad.

[–] drmoose@lemmy.world 3 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

"more people" is absolutely irrelevant because most of those people are zombies that don't do anything but consume.

[–] isildun@sh.itjust.works 1 points 4 hours ago

True, but those people are great when all you care about is line going up. People who ask think critically and ask questions don't make line go up as fast.

[–] sugar_in_your_tea@sh.itjust.works 10 points 13 hours ago

They never cared

Well yeah, they're publicly traded companies. Once the owner gives up their controlling stake and/or steps away from leadership positions, so does any kind of moral basis for the company's decisions.

I've worked at private and public companies, and the owners of the private companies often made choices based on their personal moral code (i.e. we will/won't work with org X because of Y), whereas at public companies it's all about whatever makes sense strategically in the short to medium term, and sometimes long term.

If a publicly traded company seems to be your friend right now, that's because it's currently profitable for them to do so.

[–] samus12345@lemm.ee 6 points 13 hours ago

"The first term, everybody was fighting me. In this term, everybody wants to be my friend."

[–] someguy3@lemmy.world 9 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

It's so Trump doesn't target them. He could effectively destroy their business.

[–] ThomasCrappersGhost@feddit.uk 1 points 13 hours ago

I would be surprised if he didn’t out of retaliation.

[–] vga@sopuli.xyz 36 points 21 hours ago (8 children)

Does all this sound like they're actually loving Trump or are there credible threat to their health from the Trump admin? They seemed to fall into line so smoothly and fast that it seems a bit weird.

[–] Tyfud@lemmy.world 44 points 21 hours ago

The thing is, most billionaires are sociopaths. You don't get there without being able to treat people like cattle, and consider yourself far, far, far above everyone else.

They're all late game capitalist oligarchs, which almost always trends towards fascism in the end. It's no surprise, it's been happening for a while now, we're just the biggest country to fall under this spell.

They don't have any morals or ethics, they only have one purpose: Make more money at any expense to build their dragon hoard further.

They'll praise trump and suck his dick if it doubles their earnings. That's all they ever cared about. And trump will absolutely do them favors if they kiss his ass. It's one of the things he was impeached for already.

Neither. Trump is a narcissist, so they're trying to get on his good side to get favors down the road.

[–] Glasgow@lemmy.ml 4 points 16 hours ago

Pretty sure Trump said he wanted Zuck executed

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world 13 points 21 hours ago* (last edited 21 hours ago) (2 children)
[–] vga@sopuli.xyz 1 points 4 hours ago

Exactly. What changed? Why does Zuck now takes it seriously?

Credibly threats to their revenue streams, more like. You don't climb the ladder to billionaire-hood without kissing a few assess and sucking a lot of dick.

[–] kandoh@reddthat.com 10 points 21 hours ago

They think they're going to make a lot of money through mergers, acquisitions, and monopolization. All they need to do is suck a little dick publicly

I like Louis Rossmann's borrowed quote here:

If you're going to be the bitch, you be the whole bitch. Ain't no room for a half-bitch around here.

[–] Kyrgizion@lemmy.world 131 points 1 day ago (5 children)

Imagine being one of the wealthiest people in the world and still having to suck septagenerian donkey dick in order to be "allowed" to do what you want with all your wealth and power.

[–] __nobodynowhere@lemm.ee 9 points 18 hours ago* (last edited 18 hours ago)

How much can a hitman possibly cost??

[–] WhatAmLemmy@lemmy.world 34 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

Tech bros are new money. The oligarchs who own all R's, and most of the D's, are old guard generational wealth dynasties spanning the most powerful industries — energy/commodities (fossil fuels, mining, petrochem, etc), wall street, the MIC, big agriculture, big pharma, media and telecommunications.

Those are the oligarchs who want Russian/Chinese style state capitalist dictatorship, because they're the ones who'll be in charge. Their lobbyists write ALL the bills and orders the GOP put forward. Trump is just the figurehead to distract the people and maintain the whole "democracy" charade until the thin veneer is no longer necessary.

[–] tburkhol@lemmy.world 8 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

I feel like 'normal' politicians are more beholden to old-guard oligarchs, because those are the ones that brought their parents and grandparents to power. The people who've been funding them through their whole, 50-year careers. Those oligarchs have generally learned to avoid the public eye, including politicians that attract public scrutiny.

Donald Trump doesn't care about relationships, heritage, or established trust. He just wants money and flattery, right now, in great volume, and that makes him uniquely susceptible to new money tech bros.

It must be horrific to talk to Trump in person. He smells horrible, his moods swing constantly, he has incredibly stupid takes on issues you are an expert in, and he requires constant praise. If you take your hot wife with you he’ll be ogling her constantly. Nurses probably go out of their way to see another patient when he’s at the hospital.

Now you are one of the richest men in the world, and you have to pretend you like him. I mean, something must be seriously wrong with you if you got fuck-you money and still degrade yourself to those levels.

[–] noxypaws@pawb.social 3 points 17 hours ago

that's needlessly offensive to donkeys, a single one of whom surely has more dickal mass than the entire administration and all republican senators and house reps combined

I too start my day with a prayer to and prostrations to to the greatest man to have ever lived, glorious leader kim jong un. Creeps me out this looks so damned familiar.

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 21 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I should start a pillow company. I could market them as being great to scream into when life....happens. When you read a headline, scream into a pillow. When a news story breaks, scream into a pillow. When your dog runs away, scream into a pillow. When your kids run away, scream into a pillow. When the government turns into a thinly fascist operation working under the direct leadership of Putin, scream into a pillow. When World War 3 breaks out, and America is the bad guys, scream into a pillow. When Canada and Mexico invade the USA, scream into a pillow. When you realize just how smug of a bastard George Clooney is, scream into a pillow! When you're happy and you know it clap your hands! silence Ok, just scream into a pillow then.

The sad thing is, I'm now thinking I legit could make some money by releasing "Scream Pillows". Marketed specifically as stress relief. Because that's the 2025 we live in.
