That's it.

Rule 5- No baiting or sealioning or promoting an agenda.

With the U.S. government now in total control by a political party clearly displaying fascist traits that appear to be dissolving the federal government and de-stabilizing the economy, this CIA field manual for sabotage tactics may be of interest to many individuals.

I do not condone violence or illegal acts.

(> b) Managers and Supervisors

(1) Demand written orders.

(2) “Misunderstand” orders. Ask endless questions or engage in long correspondence about such orders. Quibble over them when you can.

(7) Insist on perfect work in relatively unimportant products; send back for refinishing those which have the least flaw. Approve other defective parts whose flaws are not visible to the naked eye.

(9) When training new workers, give incomplete or misleading instructions.

(10) To lower morale and with it, production, be pleasant to inefficient workers; give them undeserved promotions. Discriminate against efficient workers; complain unjustly about their work.

(11) Hold conferences when there is more critical work to be done.

(12) Multiply paper work in plausible ways.

sounds like your average management

With the U.S. government now in total control of a political party ....

The quoted text means that the government controls the party. I believe what you mean to say is "With the US government now totally controlled by a political party ...."

Thx. Fixed. Posted this while multi-tasking.

The OSS has a similar manual. This one may even be just a rebranding of the same thing. Essentially how to be a super shitty employee.

My favorite part was going to meetings and saying to think things over and wait until next meeting to finalize anything and use proper procedure no matter what. The idea is to make even the smallest most obvious decisions a bueaucratic slog. Shitty management and office politics 101

Its also 80 years out of date.

If you want a government document more recent that can help with communications against a fascist government I recommend The Homing Pigeon, War Department January 1945.

All our devices are listening. Big Brother is Watching You.

Fighting fascism is timeless.

I browsed through it and most of it is still applicable.

Sure, and I like the spirit.

But also, drones which are highly capable can be bought for as little as $300.

All of the worlds knowledge of chemistry is immediately available to you.

Even the cheapest shittiest phone has what would have been military grade GPS 20 years ago.

There are published manuals from the US army on improvised munitions too.

I like the subtle enthusiasm.

Here's the link: https://www.cia.gov/stories/story/the-art-of-simple-sabotage/

Maybe you want to think for a moment before clicking. I think it's relatively harmless information. But visiting the CIA's website will get your IP address into their server logs.

Thanks for the comment. It clued me in to the fact that the thumbnail image I uploaded replaced the link I had to the manual at gutenberg.org. It's fixed now. No IP tracking from Gutenberg.

Also should point out that we're moving into a political climate in the U.S. where everyone should have a VPN and use it whenever possible.

[–] zergtoshi@lemmy.world 2 points 13 hours ago

Or use the onion network wherever possible: https://www.torproject.org/
After all a VPN requires trust in the VPN provider wheres using TOR only requires trust in the design and knowledge about its limitations
