Apple TV Plus has confirmed that season 2 of the sci-fi series Invasion will premiere on August 23rd. The new season, consisting of 10 episodes, will continue the story of a planet-wide alien invasion from multiple perspectives.

Season 1, which premiered in October 2021, started slowly but eventually became a compelling sci-fi tale. The upcoming season aims to go bigger, with a global battle and a focus on the power of the human spirit and emotional connections.

Early images of season 2 reveal a spacesuit and a war-torn version of Earth. New episodes will be released on Wednesdays.

Oh I really enjoyed this one. I'm not sure what people disliked about it, maybe the slower pacing? I thought it was a pretty cool story, good visuals and a great straight up horror episode.

That’s what made me like it as well. The slow pacing to actually show the invaders. All the stuff that happened and no one ever imagining it would be invaders instead of natural disasters for example. Made seeing the first one much more pleasant than if they gave them away on the first ep for example.

Hopefully it finally gets good. I persevered with season one but can’t even remember how it ended.

that's disheartening I was probably going to watch this one next since Silo is done. Should I skip it?

I haven't watched this show yet, but I can relate to completely forgetting what happened during a season even if I really enjoyed the show. I think it comes with the territory of having a bazillion shows coming out and the ability to binge them in just a day or two before waiting a year for the next season to drop.

I don't think forgetting the previous season is a mark of a bad show. I'm definitely still going to start watching this since I'm a sucker for scifi shows.

Was about to ask how this show rank compared with Silo, Severance and Foundation.

Yes, a recap is necessary!

I don't think I've heard a single whisper about this show, and I thought I was pretty aware of other sci-fi offerings on Apple TV+ (Severance, For All Mankind, Foundation, etc). I don't mind slow pacing, so maybe I'll give the first season a shot at some point.
