I'm 100% broke but I want it pretty bad. That's my thoughts.
Not on Linux sadly plus anti cheat appear to need to root level access but otherwise reviews appear rave...
it was working for me on pop!_os a couple days ago. just needed to run it through proton experimental
Don't get it. Devs are super anti consumer. Don't allow modding, don't allow family share on steam. Don't even allow you to stream it to another device with big picture. They are in the proccess of switching to a terrible anti cheat system.
It's developed by 3 people.
Could be developed by 1 person or 300, doesn't give them the excuse to take the low road with the EULA. 2K are literally looking at their EULA for BattleBit and going "holy shit, we can do this?"
They do not have the manpower to achieve your personal wishlist Also 2k have more lawyers that Battle bit devs do. They're not looking to therm to learn about the laa
I'm absolutely loving it. I've been itching for a battlefield game but my pc is shit. This runs great, the gameplay is super fun, and I've had none stop fun with prox chat.
Definitely worth the 15 bucks imo.
Very cheap and good fun
Enjoyed it myself, not normally a fan of that type of game and for PVP i tend to play Siege. This I enjoyed a lot though, a few of us joined up together and it was reliable, had decent gunplay and was fun. I am a little concerned about cheating though. Whilst it has anti-cheat there were some definite suspect moments for me.
I usually see at least one person per night, if not one person per match, who gets auto-kicked for cheating. So there are definitely cheaters. But it does seem to be picking them off pretty effectively.
I havent got sucked into a shooter since Counterstrike 1.6 and i cant stop playing this game. its a great deal for 15 bucks too. the devs are also responsive to the community
Amazing game. Haven' had this much fun in an fps in years. Their approach to moderation and getting those who are just blatantly terrible out of the game ASAP is wonderful. And it's a tiny indie game made by three people. And it's cheap! There's no downsides here the game is just amazing.
Not sure if this game has been on a marketing tear lately or it's just so good that it's been organically advertised to me. Either way, I needed something new. Can't wait to try this one.
edit: easily worth the $15. Super fun right away
I created a community for battlebit, if anyone is interested in discussing or posting specific stuff for the game: https://lemmy.world/c/battlebit
