The leader of the town of Backwater is the scoundrel helper from D3. Same VA, too.
Supposedly there’s a quest I did that (at the time I didn’t realize) was about what happens to the Paladin from D2?

nice find!
/edit
just finished the quest line, thanks for the hint!
Oh damn! Thanks for this. I'm a big fan of VA talent and can usually identify them, so I'll be sure to keep and ear out.
EDIT
I just noticed that Debra Wilson does a few voices in D4!
Yeah, she’s Prava! I loved her in Fallen Order. And Steve Blum is the Bloodied Wolf. I was kinda surprised about that one. Also I guess Troy Baker is the Scoundrel.
We talking equipment too? Found frostburn gauntlets and it's killing me my build doesn't really use them
Time for a respec! Seriously though, I'm playing a barrage rogue. None of the guides online mention Frostburns, but I've been running them for a while and they're pretty freaking great. They offer a ton of crowd control.
Caldeum is a pretty major part out the D3 story, and returns in 4 as a burnt out ruin ingested by cultists and demons.
I love that the D3 camp is still there and it has the right view when you go on the wooden pier.
I think I'm in act 4 and haven't figured out how to get in yet. Feel like I'm probably not far enough along.
Just continue the story ;)
There is a quest in Zarbinzet that involves Johannas apprentices. (Crusader from D3)
