I'm beginning to think these Hamas folks aren't very nice.

I fact check all newspapers I'm not familiar with. Here's this one's reputability (great!): https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/statesman-journal/

Personal comment:

Hamas stealing fuel and medical equipment from the poor to treat only their own fighters? Here's my shocked face:

You fact check a newspaper by... Looking at another website?

The UN denied any knowledge of this.

[–] MeanEYE@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

They first confirmed, then removed that and posted denial.

Man it would have been great if the UN's cameras had been operating, but they were damaged in a airstrike. Which means the UN compound was air struck. It seems to be the bigger story here....

“UNRWA received reports that yesterday a group of people with trucks purporting to be from the Ministry of Health of the de facto authorities in Gaza, removed fuel and medical equipment from the Agency’s compound in the Gaza City,”

Given that Hamas is the de facto authority in Gaza, this cannot be Hamas lmfao

Otherwise, Hamas made no effort to disguise who they were, which is even funnier

"Hamas Ministry of Health" reminds me of the Taliban members complaining about office work
