In addition to ublock,
I would also suggest

  • decentraleyes
    Stores commonly used librarys localy,
instead of downloading them from a third party.

  • clearURLs
    Removes tracking parameters from links.

  • google search fixer
Shows the more advanced search features,
That firefox for Android currently doesn't get

  • video Background Play Fix
    What the name says,
Good when you use youtube in the browser.

One that is more specific to Lemmy, which I am working on

!instance_assistant@lemmy.ca

While this is extension is mine and I have an obvious bias, I am using the extension constantly for my personal use as well. Might be nice for others too :)

Hi there! Looks like you linked to a Lemmy community using a URL instead of its name, which doesn't work well for people on different instances. Try fixing it like this: !instance_assistant@lemmy.ca

fixed!

That’s something my extension actually helps with as well :)

  • uBlock Origin
  • ClearURLs
  • Bitwarden
  • ReturnYoutubeDislike

My 2 cents:

  • LeechBlock - for blocking distracting websites on schedules
  • Unhook - for hiding YouTube recommended videos, comments and other distractions
  • Privacy Badger - for blocking trackers

  • My O'Reilly Downloader - if you have an account already, but want to persist some material to peruse at a later time
  • TreeStyleTab
  • ContainerProxy - I have mullvad running in gluetun container on my desktop PC, and it exposes HTTP proxy endpoint over Tailscale, so I can have VPN for my webbrowsing, without having to connect. This does not give me full protection, but I use tailscale a lot, and it doesn't play well with Mullvad.
  • I Still don't care about cookies

Facebook Container, if you're like me and feel forced to use that godawful site because all your friends are still there.

Plus another vote for uBlock Origin (I have a feeling that one will come up a lot).

Ublock Origin and Adblock Plus

Unhook

Adblock Plus on top of uBlock?
