Yes, after Boost for reddit stops working.
It's a little up in the air for me at the moment. I just discovered that all of our upvotes and downvotes aren't private. It's not what I'm used to at Reddit.
I can see pros and cons to this, so it will be an interesting change for sure.
Once my reddit app stops working I won't have a choice but to find a new home. Subreddits are burning in ways that can't be easily reversed and will take years to naturally grow back.
As long as I can find news and memes, I will stay here.
Probably. It would be nice to be able to select a more compact view - it feels like there's a lot of wasted screen real estate with the current look.
I plan on it if more people come over and the communities grow. So far I have been checking the sub-Reddits I am subscribed to for info about them migrating to Lemmy
Maybe, it seems cool. Still got alot to learn. Like why am I seeing stuff I'm not subscribed to when I filter by subscribed. At this point I don't know if it's a problem with the app, the instance or what. But I'll learn I'm sure.
Probably the app. Jerboa filters it properly so far anyway.
That is the goal, yes. One thing I've noticed is that the relative scarcity of posts here, especially news, has me frequenting a lot of news sites directly. Which I think is a good thing. Of course, one can't expect Lemmy to rival Reddit's content and engagement from the get go. We'll see where the platform is headed in the future.
Definitely! Immediately before switching to Lemmy I found myself scrolling looking for something interesting, meanwhile everything on Lemmy is fresh and exciting. Loving it so far!

Yes, especially after the 30th. Right now im still browsing it every so often mostly because my sync app still works and I just really like the app... But after the 30th i'm mostly done with reddit.
Is there any way to do actual Polls with Lemmy?
