"Bronze ranked" I get that he's a criminal, but they didn't have to do him dirty like that.

[–] jballs@sh.itjust.works 43 points 1 year ago

Bronze ranked League of Legends has gotta be considered cruel and unusual punishment.

[–] Siethron@lemmy.world 19 points 1 year ago

I mean labeling someone a league of legends player is already doing them dirty

[–] eestileib@sh.itjust.works 8 points 1 year ago

Caroline Ellison diff

[–] can@sh.itjust.works 72 points 1 year ago (1 children)

nothing personnel kid

That was my rap name when I worked in HR.

I’m bronze in OW and I like to think I’m not going to commit massive amounts of fraud

[–] kumatomic@lemmy.dbzer0.com 13 points 1 year ago

Exactly the type of fraudulent talk we'd expect.

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.world 10 points 1 year ago

You'd like to think so, but we all know that's a pipe dream.

Looking at potentially 110 years which will be decided in a separate sentencing hearing, keep pitch forks at the ready just in case they commute his sentence or some other shenanigans.

[–] Selmafudd@lemmy.world 42 points 1 year ago (1 children)

110 years, may be just enough time to get out of bronze

[–] doctorcrimson@lemmy.today 12 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Once matchmaking puts you in ELO Hell there is no escape, just get good then start a new account.

[–] noli@programming.dev 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Alternatively, get good, consistently win games against people who are worse, stop coping and you'll get to the rank you deserve.

There is no such thing as elo hell, if you're consistently outperforming your direct opponent you will win more games than you lose against people of your MMR and you will climb. "Elo hell" is just a coping mechanism for people who can't admit they're bad

Relax, bro it was a joke, this isn't a real league of legends discussion. Forget all that complicated stuff and just stack bloodthirsters on Draven all day every day.

[–] Coreidan@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Or just stop playing solo.

[–] doctorcrimson@lemmy.today 1 points 1 year ago

I don't think Tom Brady or Kevin O'Leary are going to want to play with him again after what he did.

[–] Darukhnarn@feddit.de 34 points 1 year ago (1 children)

He fucked with other rich people’s money, that’s the thing they don’t like.

[–] Coreidan@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Did he tho? He looks like the fall guy for all the fraud you see happening and he’s not the master mind but rather just a pawn in the game.

The people who are truly responsible for this are still walking.

It’s clear SBF is just a publicity stunt to make sure the poors don’t revolt.

[–] SuperJetShoes@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

I'm unclear about the Fraud charges.

In a Fraud case, you deliberately set out to take other people's money, illegally, from the offset.

I don't think he did that. I think his intentions were honest but he got too cocky by providing loans and overspending. However, I feel that he thought he was smart enough to make it all back and make good, like Nick Leeson.

I don't think he set out to be a crook. I think he set out to be extremely wealthy, thought he was smarter than he was, then couldn't cope when things started to collapse.

It's different from setting out to craft a scheme to rob people.

[–] SuperJetShoes@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Regardless of the sentence, I'd wager he'll do ten.

[–] doctorcrimson@lemmy.today 1 points 1 year ago

Meh, less if he catches covid and serves the rest of his term on house arrest, otherwise I'm betting on life in prison.

[–] janet_catcus@lemmy.blahaj.zone 30 points 1 year ago

[–] spacesweedkid27@lemmy.world 28 points 1 year ago

[–] Zuberi@lemmy.dbzer0.com 20 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Can't wait to see how the 1:1 GME tokens are resolved

[–] Coreidan@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago

They won’t be. Like everything else it will be swept under the rug to never be dealt with. In fact they will nuke the world before they ever relinquish their power. Letting it squeeze would not only make their enemies (poor people) powerful, but it will also overturn their power and wealth. They will never willingly let it happen which is why they drop nukes on us before then.

[–] Kiwi_Girl@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Might go the way of the sprinkler

[–] Zuberi@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 year ago

Unfortunately, if they were used as locates, it will not be that simple to clean this shit up.
