I don't love the second half of this post, it seems like bait to bring out the worst in people, but so far all of the comments seem to be keeping things civil and avoiding the bait.

Thanks all.

Sounds perfect for a pie shop.

Menu:

  • Priest
  • Greengrocer
  • General (served with and without his privates)
  • Piccolo player
  • Locksmith

Coming soon:

  • Beadle
  • Judge

99% of animal meat we eat are already female or basically young children otherwise it's too meaty and tough. Same for predator animals, they hunt young animals, that's why wild dogs, pumas, coyotes go for children and you cannot let your child roam without adult supervision in some areas

brb got a business idea, but first I gotta call one of those lab-grown meat businesses

I'm guessing it's hard to tell what color the skin is once it's cooked, so they'll insist on picking the cut with the skin on, like choosing a lobster out of a tank, and then watching it be prepared to ensure "purity". And, of course, to choose gender, they'd need to see the important bits intact. Also, no tattoos, and as few moles or other imperfections as possible.

This is why our meat sources need to be raised in clean, controlled conditions from birth, you want to know what you're eating. After all, you are what you eat.

(Holy crap, people are fucked up.)

I honestly don't get what the big deal with cannibalism is. Like I found it appaling few years back, some vegan pointed out that if we eat animals, why not humans, and I actually gave it thought and...

No, really, why not? So many people die every day. So much meat goes to waste. So many organs which could aave so many lives. Wtf.

Now you're giving me an idea to tweak dude bros by pointing out how they're eagerly shoving male beef down their throats

[-] daannii@lemmy.world 3 points 6 months ago

I would only eat humans that had a net worth of 100 million and up.

A man eating another man's meat is gay. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

[-] lordveng@lemmy.world 2 points 6 months ago

I'll have some of that human veal please

[-] HobbitFoot@thelemmy.club 2 points 6 months ago

Nah. The worst idea is identifying another ethnicity as making better tasting meat and saying that it isn't an issue to eat people outside your kin or kith.

Then you subjugate the population as breeding stock to create food for your society because the superior humanity shouldn't concern itself with the treatment of lesser peoples. After all, if they didn't deserve to be eaten, then why do they taste so good?

I mean women's meat would probably just be better. There's a reason we don't eat bulls or roosters generally. But yeah there's probably a lot of people who would prefer it for stupid reasons.

I've been to that restaurant.

I prefer my humans grass fed and finished.

That's... Certainly a strange and oddly specific thought...

A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The most popular seem to be lighthearted clever little truths, hidden in daily life.

Here are some examples to inspire your own showerthoughts:

Rules

  1. All posts must be showerthoughts
  2. The entire showerthought must be in the title
  3. No politics
    • If your topic is in a grey area, please phrase it to emphasize the fascinating aspects, not the dramatic aspects. You can do this by avoiding overly politicized terms such as "capitalism" and "communism". If you must make comparisons, you can say something is different without saying something is better/worse.
    • A good place for politics is c/politicaldiscussion
  4. Posts must be original/unique
  5. Adhere to Lemmy's Code of Conduct and the TOS

If you made it this far, showerthoughts is accepting new mods. This community is generally tame so its not a lot of work, but having a few more mods would help reports get addressed a little sooner.

Whats it like to be a mod? Reports just show up as messages in your Lemmy inbox, and if a different mod has already addressed the report, the message goes away and you never worry about it.
