Old stats but: 5.8 million Puerto Ricans in the US and 3.3 million in Puerto Rico in 2021 (about 340million total in the us in 2021).
I would say 29% is accurate if you include people that would rather be Puerto Ricans right now

A movement to turn pro sports into quasi nationalist rallies, with barely a peep about it, is far more alarming than ignorance about the vagarities of US territorial policy. Most people can’t even name the vice president! This is a very strange kind of manufactured outrage.
Americans elected a convicted felon and adjudicated rapist who is now tanking our economy and making enemies of all our allies.

I didn't know where he was from, nor had I heard about him until the outrage machine hyped him up. I just assumed he was an immigrant based on the outrage, but I guess that's asking too much of the racist who can be fooled into liking Kid Rock.
