Drilling more north sea oil would be so dumb.

it'll take ages to come online
it won't lower prices because it'll just go on the international market
the oil field is running out anyway

I thought this was a fossil fuels crisis, and the biggest thing to worry about was oil derived fertilizer shortage. Ild rather a full belly than being able to drive my electric car hundreds of km
