Stove doesn’t have 1.5ft clearance on either side, not up to code

Have you tried some WD-40?

I’m proud of you for only being mildly infuriated. I would smash it with a fucking hammer.

Just tilt the fridge backwards before moving it in.

[–] RodgeGrabTheCat@sh.itjust.works 3 points 4 months ago (1 children)

WTF. Even if the previous occupants had a short fridge, who wants a spice rack over the fridge. Just bizarre

[–] Diddlydee@feddit.uk 5 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago)

Not bizarre if they kept stuff on top of the (shorter) fridge and within reach that's used regularly.

[–] CanIFishHere@lemmy.ca 2 points 4 months ago

Tear down the house.

Nah it would still be occupying the same space as the fridge

The floor is really ugly right there but the fridge can go in a different spot. I already have enough drywall work

If you slid the left side of the fridge in first, it would fit fine.

[–] theunknownmuncher@lemmy.world 4 points 4 months ago (2 children)

And then just never open the freezer door I guess

[–] Appoxo@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 4 months ago

Who'd need that anyway.

[–] Lemmyoutofhere@lemmy.ca 0 points 4 months ago (1 children)

It would swing out just fine.

[–] theunknownmuncher@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago)

Uh no. It looks like the spice rack is in the space that the fridge needs to occupy anyway, and if it somehow isn't, it would block the door.
