Not a great weekend start for Gasly and Alpine. Car sounded awful.
Oh I almost forgot we were in RAWE CEEK! Came here to see that the sessions are already going to be very wet. Hope not another one gets put into red flag hell again...
Hulkenfire!
Classic Alpine
What's French for "clutch"? I don't know, and it appears Alpine don't either.
yay, full wets!
Zhou got a curse on him damn.
That rejoin from De Vries is kinda spicy. Hope nothing bad happens during the race.
That wall is going to create chaos if somebody doesn't make the corner.
Starting to rain, and most drivers on softs
Sainz vs Perez was fun.
Bwoah what a quali session. Too bad about the penalty for HΓΌlkenberg, but still a very good result. The Q2 Albon gamble was also amazing, as well as both McLarens being up so high in Q2.
Big names dropping out, small teams rising to the top, constantly changing conditions, this is peak entertainment imo. And somehow Max always comes through and puts the car where it should be, it's so impressive.
Probably just me but this thread wasn't easy to find on chrome android or jerboa, even though it's pinned?
Yeah, pinning a comment seems pretty meaningless at the moment because Lemmy doesn't seem to be respecting the pinned status.
Max for the first time this season had to push to not get caught. Alonso and later Hamilton with the mediums had practically the same pace as him. It was a shame that Alonso didnβt had a new set of medium tyres and the issues with the rear brakes, he was faster than Hamilton when they had the same compound. The 33 is coming. π Russell made a good comeback after the crash, having to retire the car was very harsh after all he did to get into the points again.
Brundle was honest - he noted how far ahead Max would be if the race was clean without incidents. So in pure race pace that would be at least 10s faster than the next two teams.
I'm all for Alonso this season with his stupendous performance, but Max and RB's package is still the package to beat. AM need to be smarter to beat RB and Merc later into the season. Sucks that Alo's strongest performance yet was hindered by a rear braking issue.
If you wanna see how fast Max is, just compare him vs Checo...
This is gonna be epic or a red flag fest
Lewis is keeping up with Max. Oh wait as I type this he lost a couple tenths. Still, great pace of the Merc.
What happened to TSU? He pitted after the first lap?
How do the marshal's know when to show their flags. Are they connected to audio to F1 central?
