FarBridge, the studio behind the classic real-time strategy franchise Homeworld, announced it’s releasing an all-new VR game for Quest, putting players in its iconic 3D space battles.

The studio, which is working with Borderlands studio Gearbox, says Homeworld: Vast Reaches is an entirely new game (re: not a port or remaster) which has been designed from the ground up for VR in terms of controls, play-style, and optional mixed reality mode.

But why Quest? PCVR with OpenXR or GTFO.

Sounds neat. Loved the original Homeworld. Playing it in VR would be pretty rad.

Just saw the trailer. Graphics look weaker than I expected. Also would be nice to have view from command carrier bridge or something. It kind of reminded me of the trailer for Ruse in terns of gameplay.
