And it's basically ended already. At least for ordinary people without a IT forensic team, the best advice is to be very sceptical towards images and videos, more or less so depending on the source.
I also live in Germany. In personal interactions religion is usually not present. I'm always surprised to learn that somebody is religious. Since I'm not religious myself, I tend to forget that other people might be. I guess for most people it's something more personal. Even the occasional Jehova's Witness asks before they start pushing their God onto you. At the same time there is still Religion class (as in Christian) at school. You don't have to go, but it's the default and in most elementary schools there is no alternative as it is in secondary school. And the kids are taken to Christian services to celebrate the start of the school year and such. I don't mind too much, I guess it's an educational experience, but I'd still like my secular state to handle religion in a different way in it's schools.
Well, I use the word "soul" to sum up what makes a person a person, their base values, moral standpoint, what they love and hate etc. The warmth of a person. In the same way I would say that somebody forfeits their soul because of their acts. And I'd argue that our soul "lives on" after we die in the people we've made an impression on or in general through the effects of our actions. But some magic person-container? No. We die and then we're dead.

I was about to question this picture, because, depending on the time it was taken, it might as well been very likely, that these children were raised as nazis in nazi Germany and not have been Christians at any point in their life. . Well the reverse image search told me it's from a nazis rally in 1930.. Wow. I'd still say, that this is not a good atheist meme. It'd go down better with their parents, waving flags at the same rally.
