#Rules: taken from r/gameboy

Rule 1: Be polite

Rudeness, namecalling, and/or hate speech of any kind are not welcome. Repeat offenders will be banned at moderator discretion. 2. Rule 2: Do not distribute copyrighted material

Do not publicly share ROM links or sites that illegally distribute copyrighted material. Homebrew and other aftermarket apps are allowed if the author permits it. 3. Rule 3: Stay on topic

This is a Game Boy community. Related content includes the original Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, and hardware that is able to play those game libraries. (Super Game Boy, Game Boy "Macro," GB Boy Colour, etc) Occasional posts about fringe topics (Pokemon Mini, emulation devices, etc) may be acceptable, but will be removed if they become too frequent. 4. Rule 4: No buying/selling/trading

Rule 5: Self-promotion is ok in moderation

Self-promotion of your site/product/channel isn't forbidden as long as it's done in good taste, and not too often. If we see that your account or c/gameboy activity is overwhelmingly used for self-promotion, your posts will be removed. If any self-promoting post gets reported to the moderators in great numbers, moderators are unlikely to protect/defend it. 6. Rule 6: Post 'counterfeit cartridge' questions in the Fake Cart Thread

Rule 7: Use common sense

Moderators reserve the right to remove your post or take other action, even for things that are not expressly specified in the above rules. For example, spamming will result in moderator action, and nobody should be surprised when it does. If you have any questions or feedback, message the moderators and let us know!

The SGB CPU is compatible with the DMG. By swapping the CPU, your Gameboy will skip the falling Nintendo animation. This decreases the boot speed.

I have issues mit my GB USB Smartcard 64M. I am using ems-qart software under linux. The software doesnt find the card (screenshot attached)

This is the message in the terminal:

Failed to open device, libusb error: LIBUSB_ERROR_IO Failed to open device, libusb error: LIBUSB_ERROR_NO_DEVICE Could not find device, is it plugged in?

As I can see with lsusb, it is acutally there:

Bus 001 Device 009: ID 4670:9394 EMS Production Game Cube USB Memory Adaptor 64M

Starting ems-qart as root doesnt solve the issue. I checked the cable, and used three different ones... but always the same behaviour.

Any Ideas?

Been busy the last couple years fixing up broken Gameboys and building a few projects.

Followup to the MBC3 red and blue carts I made. I chose to go with MBC5, 4MB carts for these to have more variety.

Sorry about the dust... They are on that shelf and I didn't thought about cleaning them before taking picture.

The Pokemon GBC, the blue Pocket one, the SP with an ugly Naruto sticker to hide the big hole in it and the GBA 1st gen are mine.

The hole on the SP one isn't my fault. It was given to me this way. But i'm responsible for putting that sticker there when I was a teenager, ahah.

The rest belongs to my partner.

One of the favorites in my collection. I picked it up "for parts" on Ebay a few years ago and it ended up just needing a little cleaning and a new battery. It is a bit beat up, but that just allows me to play it without worrying about scuffing up a collectable.

This is my GBA before doing an ITA screen from Funnyplaying. I miss the spice orange...
