While we wait for 4.0.1, I needed to update my ligthroom classic but it seems 3.5 can't do that, and I can't seem to find 3.8 anywhere. It's not in the guides, is not in the website nor on "older versions"

anyone has a solution until 4.0.1 arrives?

Apologies if this has been answered already. I successfully set up gen p on my laptop last year & I want to do the same process on my new PC. I was wondering if it would work if I used the same adobe account I used to set up gen p on my laptop. Do I need to create a new adobe account if I'm doing the process again on a new PC?

Hi! Yesterday I updated my Adobe apps from 2024 to 2026, and everything is working great. The only exception is that Pro Mode is no longer available in Character Animator. It worked perfectly in the 2024 version. I checked the guide and the troubleshooting sections and can’t find any mention that Pro Mode isn’t supported anymore. It’s only mentioned for the Monkrus version. Am I missing something?

What is the state of genp? (lemmy.dbzer0.com)

The soviet union domain seems to suggest the original maintainer has stepped down and could not vouch for the software anymore?

Hey, after updating my adobe apps yesterday I got this popup only on Media Encoder all other apps work fine after the patch (Lightroom Classic, Premiere Pro). I followed the whole troubleshooting section and I can't manage to fix this popup block on the Media Encoder. Anyone can suggest any help? The version I have installed (Media Encoder v26.0.2) is supposed to be supported by GenP according to the compatibility list. Thanks!

Hello! I recently have experienced some odd issues with trying to patch photoshop. Premiere Pro ends up working just fine, but Photoshop seems to crash right after it loads in. I checked compatibility, made sure to run the patch software in administrative mode, and also tried to uninstall and retry the whole thing again... Could there be another reason for Photoshop specifically crashing? I'm really stumped to how to fix this. Thanks all!

The other day, it worked just fine and suddently, it stopped opening. Only the pre-softare-window appears (the one with an illustration and a bunch of loadings) and then it straight up diseappears (in task manager too). AE 25.6 works fine but I had a project in 26 that I wish to not lose. I tried restarting the computer (did not work), reinstalling AE 26, unpacking, repatching (did not work), deleting the "C:\Users[USER]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\After Effects\26.0" folder entierly, since I did not have any settings/customizations I wanted to keep (it recreated it instantly upon opening the app, still did not work).

Maybe the fix is as simple as "delete that specific folder/file" but please help. Any possible cause is welcome :)

Hello, I've built GenP from source and was able to obtain the dependencies (UPX, AutoIt) from official sources for security reasons. The wintrust DLL is a dependency I could not obtain myself.

The file needs to be unmodified and original. I've googled the hashes (wintrust.dll - 1b3bf770d4f59ca883391321a21923ae) and could not find mentions of this version. My Windows 11 installation comes with its own version (in System32) but the file size is quite different and it's obviously a much newer version.

Thanks!

Adobe Acrobat crash (lemmy.dbzer0.com)

I'd like to ask if Adobe Acrobat's updates or piracy detection depend on the computer's network environment.

In our company, the network uses a fixed IP address for specific tasks.

However, it seems that after using GenP+good to patch Acrobat, it crashes upon reopening after 2-3 days.

Below are my uninstallation and reinstallation steps: Could you please check if I made any mistakes?

I then open GenP+Good as administrator and re-patch Acrobat (and uncheck "Always Search ACC"). I also add Acrobat to the firewall rules within GenP.

I've also been using the "Automated Hosts Update Script (Advanced)".

I've also disabled startup items related to Acrobat in the startup rules.

This is how I handled the crashes on my work computer today.

Could you help me check if I made any mistakes or missed any steps?

I'm not sure where I went wrong. I actually just checked my other software and the only one that seems to be running correctly is premiere pro. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the apps as well as using firewalls to block outgoin information. Anyone have any ideas on what to do?

Adobe Acrobat download (lemmy.dbzer0.com)

If I don't use Adobe CC to install Acrobat, and want to download it directly through the application, is it through this website?

Hey everyone, thanks for letting me be here. I’m a complete newbie, so sorry in advance if something sounds dumb.

I used Adobe products legally in the past, but the plugins became too expensive, so I switched and used the GenP patch for AE, PR, IL and PS. Everything worked fine at first. I also added and activated the rules inside the program so no external connections should happen.

Later I noticed files like ACC.log being created. After checking some of the code with ChatGPT, I was told it looks like attempts to communicate with Adobe. That made me uncomfortable, so I started checking all running Adobe processes and network activity using PowerShell and ChatGPT. After that, I disabled everything that was active or could access the internet. I also disabled Adobe background processes, so when I open something like After Effects, only AE itself runs.

What I actually did

• Identified Adobe processes (CCXProcess, AdobeIPCBroker, Crash Processor, CEPHtmlEngine, Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)

• Checked network activity: – No external connections found – Only local/internal communication on xx.xx.xx

• Disabled the scheduled task “Launch Adobe CCXProcess” so Creative Cloud components don’t auto-start.

• Stopped Adobe background services (CCXProcess, AdobeIPCBroker, TeamProjectsLocalHub, dynamiclinkmanager, etc.)

• Created permanent Windows Firewall rules (inbound + outbound = block): – First for specific executables – Then the “nuclear option”: automatically scanned Adobe folders, found 163 Adobe .exe files, and blocked every single one → about 334 firewall rules.

• Verified again with all apps running (AE, PR, PS, IL): → No external IP connections → Only internal/local communication on xx.xx.xx

** Things that stood out / seemed worth checking**

• A lot of Adobe background processes (CCXProcess, AdobeIPCBroker, CEPHtmlEngine multiple times, TeamProjectsLocalHub, crashpad_handler, node, AIRobin…) → Typical cloud, service, telemetry and panel modules.

• Internal network services running Several processes had listening ports and local connections. → Shows Adobe heavily relies on internal micro-services (panels, Dynamic Link, CC hooks).

• Watchdog behavior Adobe Crash Processor and IPCBroker restarted themselves after being killed. → Typical Creative Cloud watchdog behavior.

• Very large amount of modules 163 Adobe executables found. → Important, because otherwise single unchecked modules could still communicate.

My question: Can this level of blocking/breaking background services damage the patch or the software in any way? Right now my Adobe setup is basically running in a completely isolated offline environment.

GenP is called a lower-quality, third-party crack, so perhaps it's worth remembering not to bite the hand that feeds you.

After all, it's the very same work used in the repackaged, prepatched standalone installers, credited to Uncia and CGP.

Uncia created GenP, and CGP maintains it, providing the GenP tool that allows everyone to use Adobe software for free.

Without GenP, the repackaged, prepatched standalone installers would not exist, unless someone else created another lower-quality, third-party crack for Monkrus to rely on, since he does not crack software himself and consistently depends on third parties.

Interestingly, whenever GenP is mentioned in the comments section, it is frequently dismissed as inferior and not recommended for use.

Despite this, it is effectively what Monkrus uses himself for all Adobe apps, except Acrobat, which relies on a slightly different patching method.

He states this explicitly in his own FAQ Section on all the apps torrent trackers.

Monkrus simply takes the exact same GenP prepatched files and integrates them into his repackaged, prepatched standalone installers.

So, while GenP is described as a lower-quality, third-party crack, it is nonetheless the very same work being used in his own releases.

Technical clarification regarding Acrobat:

If people are wondering why Monkrus considers his Acrobat approach different from GenP, it is because GenP does not modify one file that Monkrus now does.

Both GenP and Monkrus patch the following files: Acrobat.dll, acrodistdll.dll, and acrotray.exe. However, Monkrus (and GenP+Good) also patches an additional file: AdobeCollabSync.exe.

For most users running the default Acrobat installation, this extra file does not need to be modified. In these cases, both GenP-patched and Monkrus-prepatched builds behave the same and work as expected.

The difference becomes relevant when Acrobat is installed with the full feature set, including additional components such as Preflight and PDF/A/E/X options. In those scenarios, patching AdobeCollabSync.exe helps prevent issues and is recommended.

As a result, users who want Acrobat to be fully patched and covered regardless of installation type should patch it using GenP+Good, which includes this additional file and applies a more comprehensive set of modifications within AdobeCollabSync.exe, providing broader coverage for full-feature installations.

Thank you GEN P creators (lemmy.dbzer0.com)

Just wanna say thank you for all the people who made the Wikia

I was struggling with the non-ags pop-ups (GenP good ver didn't work, updating host didn't work, I didn't want to do Wintrust cuz I didn't want to reboot my computer) getting mad frustrated

But after rereading and rereading and rereading (and REREADING) I solved it (the firewall option)

So just wanted to show some appreciation! 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏

So I've heard the next GenP release is in progress due to Photoshop v27.2 patching issues. But I'm wondering, since After Effects leads to crashes and other issues with Wintrust applied thanks to Adobe, will a future release remove it from the checklist on GenP's Wintrust menu entirely? Or does Wintrust still work with older After Effects versions and needs to stick around?

Only asking incase others who haven't heard the announcement/news get confused and try it anyway. Since that's still happening now on Stout/Lemmy, maybe a warning on the GenP app itself would be better (if the After Effects option needs to stay)? Or maybe it won't do any good? Since, even if we tell people to visit the GenP guides, I unfortunately still see you awesome mods needing to answer this question daily... 😔

Ignore the unpacking of After Effects, I think it worked.

Gives "UPX error code: 2" for Premiere Pro version 25.6.3 Tried unpacking before patching - can't do it. Uninstalled Premiere Pro, reinstalled, patched and tried unpacking - same issue, can't unpack.

What steps should I take? This is my first time using GenP in two years or so and I'm kinda slow sometimes.

Hello. I've made a stupid mistake updating Photoshop to version 27.2. Is there any option to easily revert it to the version 27.1 that is GenP compatible?

Harmonize in photoshop (lemmy.dbzer0.com)

Hello! In Photoshop, does the “Harmonize” function work? I know AI features are disabled, but I’m not sure whether Photoshop considers this function an AI feature or not.

Cheers!
