Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era is now available in Early Access!

Set in the fantasy world of Enroth, Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era is a brand new entry in the legendary series of turn-based strategies. Lead one of six available factions to victory by building magnificent cities, defeating countless armies, and obtaining powerful artifacts.

I love the series (the first four at least), and I was wondering how you guys thought HoMM IV holds up in comparison. It IS pretty different, but I personally find that I like it a lot, despite it being so different.

Years in the making it's time to finally go public with the v1.1 release of the Heroes of Might & Magic 2 total conversion scenario modpack for the 1996 4X classic Sid Meier's Civilization 2. Despite being a Heroes 2 themed mod it also uses content from Heroes 3, H3 Succession Wars Mod, & Palm Kingdoms to fill gaps. Since Sept was the 30th anniversary of Heroes 1 I figured I'd also make my HoMM1 graphics addon pack available earlier than planned too. Almost every part of Civ2 (which will be having its own 30th anniversary soon) has been changed to feel more HoMM like making this possibly the largest total conversion mod ever made for Civ2 Gold! Yes it's several decades too late but we did it anyway lol!

The steam page lists Q2, which could be interpreted as in one or two months, but knowing sw development and the fact that there is no date set in stone as far as i know, it might sound like it's slipping a little

Honestly I haven't been following the development too closely, aside from seeing the trailers, so I'm wondering what are others thinking of it? Are you optimistic/pessimistic?
