Walking past a few fast food restaurants and can't help but feel they leave a negative impact on the environment via the eye sore that the litter which in abundance near these establishments.

I get that it's the customers littering and not giving a shit being the problem but is also a symptom of a larger problem.

Combine that with councils reducing the amount of rubbish bins in public places due to the cost to empty them, it only exacerbates the issue.

Should we be holding these businesses who reply on the packaging to account more through regulation or is that a step to far and the answer lies somewhere else?

Edit: more referencing the littering side, not the packaging itself.

So $147 million ship gone from Naval Budget I doubt that Defense have money to replace so we may have to take money from somewhere else. Maybe not replace Cook Strait Ferries ever. Would this sort of mess result in a court martial? One would hope so

I hope I can prevent at least one person from with headache.

Never ever get 2degrees 5g wireless broadband.

It's the most frustrating internet experience you will ever have. We got it at the start of this year thinking that we'd be saving money but I would happily fork more money had I known

The speed itself is fine both up and down are quite decent. However and this is the big however.

I have had to restart my modem at least once a week. At the most 2 or 3 times a day. We've done every factory reset, every thing that the people from the phone has asked us to do to try and troubleshoot it. The problem is still weekly. We've called several times for them to try and reset the router. They've checked if its an issue with the router itself. It's also not because we are far away from the tower because it's in clear view of us.

The Problems

So what are the problems

  1. Well the most common one is that it just sometimes stops. The wifi disappears. Often this will be fixed with a quick reboot.
  2. Want to have people over? well too bad because over 8 devices is too much and wifi stops working. Bear in mind that this means only 4 people can be using it at one time because even if your laptop and phone are connected to it passively, it still freaks out.
  3. Is it raining and want to watch a movie? Too bad because rain somehow kills your internet.
  4. The less common and more frustrating is there is wifi but no internet. So you can connect to the router but there is nothing. When you check the box, it says no signal. It's doing that right now. How am I writing this? well i'm using my own hotspot for writing this because i'm that frustrated. It sometimes randomly stops at around 10pm/11pm. It fails to find a signal for an entire week in the evening times. This happened frustratingly during olympics when we were trying to watch something. Unfortunately the only fix is to call them or wait in the morning. No amount of troubleshooting will fix this issue.
  5. You can't call to get help because customer service stops at 8pm. So you have to wait every morning.

It's been 10 months and i can't wait to cut my contract in 2 months so that we can get off this.

It's not worth it to save the measly $20 a month difference. I promise you it's not worth the savings.

If only this was still on the air. I can't really think of any other show that fully embraces New Zealand culture in such a fun and creative way. It's still very funny and the animation holds up very well. I'm sure that there's other great shows and movies like Bro Town, but none I think have had as much of an impact as Bro Town did. Hunt for the Wilderpeople was a pretty big deal, but not as big as I remember Bro Town
