I'm a computer engineering undergrad in my finals and I really don't care about applying for jobs, there's so much competition and I hate just about every one of my classmates. I don't want to spend hours making shitty bloated proprietary software but 99% of jobs seem to be like that. Is it possible to actually make a career in free software, should I just ditch out of tech and pick something else

I know about software patents but what's the point when somebody can achieve the exact same functionality from the user's perspective using totally different code. Just seems like a waste on a patent lawyer.

Although these new frameworks were designed to address issues in existing frameworks, we should not be constrained by past experiences and conventions. It is necessary to learn and use these new tools with an open mind and a fresh perspective. Adopting new frameworks should be seen as an excellent opportunity to refactor projects towards greater safety and modernization.

So I'm making a project in SpringBoot with Oauth security.

If I use Auth0 as my Authorization Server, I can register an application there and just say that I want user to be able to login with Google an Facebook. That's all it takes.

If I use Keycloak as my Authorization Server, I can also have users choose Google or Facebook as there prefered login, but in order to provide that, I have to register my app with Google and Facebook first.

So how come it's so easy with Auth0 and a little less easy with Keycloak? Is it a contract thing, does Auth0 have contracts with all these providers or something?
