How was the first season?

  1. Bad Tolkien adaptation.
  2. Middling fantasy drama with wildly uneven pacing and poor character development.

Visually it was good. The plot was boring and super slow. It was several hours of buildup and then things finally started to happen... for ~10 minutes before it ended. The whole first season should have been told in 2 hours or less.

I would only be able to watch it again if it were playing in the background and my focus was elsewhere.

It was entertaining.

Badly acted. Doesn't really go anywhere.

Regrettably rather disappointing.

I couldn’t make it through one episode. It was just so dull.

It wasn't perfect, but definitely not bad. Specially the first season finishes on an amazing high note that made me go "dammit, I want more now".

Depends on how TikTok-brained you are. I think it's way too slow for many people these days, but if you can still enjoy slower paced entertainment, it's great.
