Does he have any intention of quitting?

Is he at least wearing a mask or doing anything to cover his face while he's in the living room?! Or at the very least waiting until everyone has left the room?!

He's wearing a mask but still opening and closing the door of his room where he has been quarantining and wandering through far too regularly for my liking. The kids and I started quickly putting on masks when he walks through the living room, so he started giving a little warning before he opened the door. But to my mind it's not good enough.

He occasionally mentions it, but really he's been smoking for 50 years at this point so it'd be very hard and take a big effort on his part. When he had a heart attack a couple of years ago and had a stent put in, he was in hospital 8 days. Then would've been a golden opportunity to give up but he didn't. I gave up years ago after smoking for 20 years, so I know it takes a particular mindset and dedication to achieve. I've started to really doubt that the will is there.
