They came out to install that gate thing yesterday, which took me by surprise. They did say it would be installed this week, but I didn't believe them. But then it happened, so that's cool I guess.

Unfortunately they didn't install any electrics or motors for it, and it's on a fairly steep hill, so it just opened itself every time I tried to close it. I was able to find some old bed slat thingies and wedge those between the gate and the fence. Looks ghetto AF, but it worked and provided some safety.

Unfortunately today they came out to try and install a motor, but they forgot a part or something so it doesn't actually.... Motor. Unfortunately in the process, they've put it on same chains and gears that can't be moved when the motor is off. So now I can't actually close it.

They'll come to install it some stage next week, but it basically leaves me in the same position as I was 2 days ago over the weekend. And I can once again enjoy the constant baseline anxiety of old mate coming back again.

It has now been 39 days since I returned and had to deal with all of this garbage.

Edit: I should be fair to them. In 39 days they've purchased 1 security camera
