My old shitty Asus laptop used to be dual partitioned with Ubuntu + windows, because it was my only computer with a webcam, but now that I've upgraded, I'm considering wiping it and running some lightweight Linux distribution, and using it just for TubeArchivist and a couple of other docker images.
The old MacBook runs fairly sluggishly these days, but it's still good for basic schoolwork and I primarily use it for running UNIX based scripts and such, since I still don't know how to use WSL. Ansible and WM-SPN nainly
I was going to do this with the kids' laptop until the internet connection became too unstable.
I'd like to learn Docker and even Kubernetes on top of that. Having a computer I'm using for something specific will help with that a lot.
And fuck Microsoft for only allowing remote desktop on enterprise versions of windows. I want to set up a remote connection so I can leave this laptop behind the TV and not need to touch it unless absolutely necessary. Any version of linux would let me do so
MAS has a change windows edition feature, which I believe also lists the enterprise editions. I'm not sure if it works, or if there's any catches, but I used it to upgrade from normal windows to pro and it worked well

Also has IoT enterprise and education edition
I heard it's easy to change versions and even get free copies of windows. I ran this other tool I read about that I think edits the DLL files and just turns it on. If that doesn't workI'll try this
I've only ever used MAS because it's a fairly simple single PowerShell script, it works for activating office as well, which is nice. I wish I could actually buy a copy of modern office, without any of the annoying subscription BS
