Heading to aldi, going to buy some of their dumplings for the first time, amongst other things. Anyone need anything while I'm there?
Edit: anyone know the best way to prepare the dumplings? I don't have a steamer. I was thinking I'd do them in a frying pan with a very shallow layer of water, lid on
That's the way. Put a bit of oil in your frying pan, put the dumplings in, when they get a brown bottom put about 1/3 of a cup of water, turn the heat down to a simmer and put the lid on. When the water has evaporated they should be ready.
Jaffa Cakes please!
I couldn't find any π’
The end times are nigh!!
I lightly pan fry with oil (lid off), chuck some water in (lid on) give it a minute or two, lid off for a bit until evaporated and get them a bit crispy.
Not chicken. Theirs has an odd plastic taste.
Orβ¦ buy a steamer. The brown bottom method doesnβt work for all dumpling types.
Check out the chilled food section - Aldi sometimes has peking duck dumplings. They are yum but very rich.
They had some Korean beef ones but I decided to skip em and try the OG frozen ones
