What’s everyone having for dinner on this, the day the DT died?

(Testing out posting pictures don’t mind me)

That looks fucking amazing. We had leftover braised steak and onions with mashed potato.

Some leftover potato and leek soup with a dinner roll for dipping. There's also some sticky date for dessert, the thing I am most excited about.

You can just post raw pictures, that’s so cool!

Yeah! It prompts you to write something in square brackets, so I thought it would be embedded like in reddit. But apparently not!

Salt and pepper squid, chippies and salad. There may be a nip of whiskey for the solstice later

[–] omoikiri@aussie.zone 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Oh is it winter solstice? That means we’re half way to summer solstice/my birthday!

[–] Thornburywitch@aussie.zone 1 points 1 year ago

Nope. Solstice is 21/22 June - so not next weekend but hump day after that. For a given value of hump day.

I hadn't worked out what to have for dinner yet, but I think I'll put over and have some of that thanks!

Looks amazing! Some leftover pasta carbonara (no cream). Had no special ingredients in the house and no idea what to make for dinner yesterday, it's perfect for that situation.

Yuuum! Just threw together a bog standard stir fry while I screenshot my saved posts, heh.

Looks amazing 😍 I'm going to tear up a Coles roast chook I bought on the way home and make a sandwich with tomato cheese and hotsauce
