My washing machine has broken down :( Booked in a service but I somehow need to get the dryer off the top before then ๐Ÿค” Gonna be an expensive fuck around all up.

Oh no. A washing machine breakdown is a horrible affair. Fingers crossed it can just be repaired and doesn't need to be replaced!

I'm grateful for the new laundromat near me -- and the dryer still works so I think I can make do for a couple weeks thankfully. But lugging around a wet load of washing yesterday in the rain was not fun!

Brutal! My washing machine broke a month or so ago so we've been going to a Laundromat about a block away. But! A Laundromat has literally just opened in the alley next door, so now I can take my load down the fire escape stairs and then I'm at the Laundromat!

I hate it though, because Im anxious some weirdo is going to steal my clothes ๐Ÿ˜‚

I always take a book and stay while the clothes are washing/drying.

FWIW, dryers are pretty light weight things.

I had a little go but it was sketchy as hell. I need a muscle daddy to come over. Lucky I know a few.

Not if they are a condenser dryer, those things are really heavy. Like somewhere around 50kg heavy.

Ahh, we have a subjective difference on the term "heavy".
