It's interesting how what you care about is whether what you said was popular, not whether it's actually a rape threat.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

This is the second time you've tried to make this about me. It's not going to work.

[–] merc@sh.itjust.works 0 points 2 months ago (1 children)

It is about you. You're the one trying to get internet points by saying something popular when it clearly isn't true.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

This isn't going to work, sorry.

[–] merc@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

You stopped getting internet points for your lies, so you give up?

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

You making this personal still isn't going to work no matter how many times you try, but feel free to keep trying to bait me.

[–] merc@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

You deny it is personal, but you lied to get internet points. Hard to make it more about yourself than that.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

What did I lie about? Please quote the lie.

[–] merc@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (1 children)

You claimed it was a rape threat, when I provided a test to show whether something was a threat or not, you ignored it because you claimed you weren't making a legal case. That shows you know it wasn't actually a threat, therefore you lied. And you lied to get internet points, so it's all about you.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Or, you know, I don't agree with what you consider to be a rape threat. Nah... it's not possible to legitimately disagree with you. People only do it for "internet points."

[–] merc@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

No, it's clear you lied, or you would have at least tried to prove it was a threat. You lied for internet points and by doing that you diminished the experiences of anybody who has actually been threatened with rape. But hey, you got your internet points, so good job.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Multiple other people in this post are also saying it's a rape threat, yet you only object to me calling it that and only expect me to prove it.

For example: https://lemmy.world/comment/12297410

Odd that it's okay with you when they do it.

[–] merc@sh.itjust.works 0 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Yes, you're not the only one lying for internet points. You're the one who decided to try to partially defend your supposed point of view, at least until I tried to get you to prove it, at which point you started lying some more.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Do you think it might just be possible that none of us are lying and that we just don't agree with you? I realize you're a perfect being and all, but maybe possibly we just have a sincere disagreement with you?

[–] merc@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

No, if you weren't lying you'd prove your point. You're lying for internet points and I caught you at it.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

You don't have to prove an opinion. That's why it's an opinion. You're a very silly person.

[–] merc@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

When accusing someone of doing something, you have to back up your accusation with reasoning. You can't just say "grass is red" and if someone challenges you just say "well, that's just my opinion".

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Why do I have to? Because you say so?

[–] merc@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

It's what an person would do if they were being honest. If someone's lying, of course they're not going to.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

If you don't believe I'm honest about my opinion, oh well.

[–] merc@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

You know you're not being honest, I just showed that it's true because you refuse to provide any evidence to support your opinion.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I love this "everyone here is lying but me" thing you have going on. It's quite amusing.

[–] merc@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)
[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Nope. I didn't say anything different than the many, many people here and elsewhere who said it was a rape threat.

How difficult life must be for you when everyone is constantly lying to you.

[–] merc@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Yes, many, many people piled on Elon Musk to defend Taylor Swift. Who could have seen that was a good way to get Internet points. Oh wait! That's you!

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

So all of them are sincere in their opinion that Elon Musk made a rape threat but I actually don't think it was a rape threat and am lying about it?

That's your absolutely insane conclusion here?
