After dinner no problem. It’s the mid afternoon snacks that are my downfall.

All of the above! Plus snacks are tasty, it’s a reason to have a break, and can focus better if not feeling hungry. Might try having a smaller lunch and healthy snacks, which might balance it out rather than trying to eliminate the snacks.
