Gorgeous. The steel come up real nice or (wrought iron?)

have you attempted sanding back the decorative areas on the drawers? I feel like slightly sanding back just the face of the scroll design and then re-staining could really make it more pronounced. If that makes sense.

Thing must weigh a ton.

I cleaned it a lot and did clean the scrolls extra , but I didn't sand it much at all, it's so full of deep scratches, holes and lost varnish it would have gone through the veneer.

It was also a trade off between restoring to original, which is not possible anyway, and taking 100 hours, or fixing it up to last a couple more decades, which took 20 hours.

It's cast iron and weighs a bloody ton. There's also the machine inside which probably weighs another 15 kilos.

Well it’s certainly impressive what you have managed to accomplish here.

Are you doing the decking timber next? Hehe.

those are ikea wood tiles and yes I fix them up every early summer, clean them and replace any broken ones

if not for the tiles that terrace would be unbearably hot in summer

That's utterly gorgeous! It must be so satisfying to have worked with your own hands to restore it.

Wow! Amazing how it's come up. Your hard work is paying off big time.
