No steam fresh bags at the supermarket, I've had to regress to bulk flash frozen prechopped veggies. Feels like the stone age.

Heaven knows what I'd have to do if neither were available. Hardly bares thinking about.

I hate when you get used to something and then bang, it's taken away. This is why I hoard. Not my fault. They made me do it.

Buy silicone reusable steam bags and defy false gods

... TIL, I didn't know these were a thing. Will take note for when I Cannot Cope but still need to eat my veggies

Back when I was still able to eat them, the Chunky soups were a lifesaver on those really bad days. A fairly balanced meal in a can with meat and vegies for a few dollars.

If you like any of the flavours it’s worth buying up when they’re half price and keeping them on hand.

Oh those things were an absolute lifesaver as a hyper frugal undergrad student. I don't eat meat now and I don't think I could handle those tins but I might stock up on some convenience items for the week. Whatever new place I go to had better have enough pantry space....

Oh yeah, I ate the equivalent from Sanitarium in my vego stint.

That’s a good idea. It may not be the ideal food but still really helps to look out for your future self and make sure they eat

Eating convenient crap definitely better than not eating out of neglect, I've learned that enough times now

Now this is my kind of blasphemy

Years ago I bought one of these. If you stick to plain water to steam you’ll still have to wash it but the task won’t be too bad. More like a swish and rinse instead of needing to scrub.

Chopping veg is tough for a lot of people. If you can’t get the steam bags or frozen veg, you can also buy bags of prechopped fresh veg.

There are also canned vegetables

(If any of this helps)
