The delusion is, ultimately, that this system is fair and equitable. That you really do just have to say the correct set of magic words and the judge will nod and smile and send you on your way. In reality, so much of a case is decided before you ever step into a courtroom - firstly based on matters of fact, rather than law, but secondly (and more frustratingly) based on the political inclinations of the prosecutor and the judge with respect to your identity.

There is truth to what you're saying here, but the difference is, learning the correct set of words in the correct order at the right time is what Law School is. I don't know why Sovcits think they can speak so confidently about their legal "spell" and expect it to work in a courtroom.

Sure, but they still don't save you from Facts of the Case, which is what SovCits struggle with. Yes, you can say a series of words to get yourself out of a speeding ticket, but only if the prosecutor or the police fuck up. If the cop who issued the ticket fails to arrive, if you can build compelling evidence against the efficacy of the radar gun, if the prosecutor can't show that you were driving the car...

But if they cover all their bases, they have you dead to rights. Nothing will save you within the scope of the law. No magic words on their own will set you free.
