Iran’s supreme leader on Saturday threatened Israel and the U.S. with “a crushing response” over attacks on Iran and its allies.

“The enemies, whether the Zionist regime or the United States of America, will definitely receive a crushing response to what they are doing to Iran and the Iranian nation and to the resistance front,” Khamenei said in video released by Iranian state media.

I don't get why people are dismissing this.

Unless you've had your head in the sand/up your ass, you might have noticed a global shift in alliances and world powers working with others.

Ie. North Korea and Russia and iran sharing tech and supplies. India and China - same fucking team.

The bombs may not launch from Iran, but fucking stop pretending they and their new friends are not fully capable and willing to cause mass destruction on this continent.

Americans have grown smug. They've never seen war at home. Not truly.

9/11 was amateur hour.

When it comes. And it will.

Feel free to laugh.

Americans have grown smug. They've never seen war at home. Not truly.

Outside of the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812, no adversary in war has ever had the military ability to significantly impact the contiguous US, and while that may well happen one day, it isn't gonna be Iran of 2024 who changes that run.

It's also not likely that any country will have that ability near term outside of a preemptive nuclear strike, and a country set on doing that has to be able to counter or accept the US response, which I don't anticipate any country doing in the near future.

More-realistic concerns might be terrorism or economic pressure.

While I agree with parts of what you said, and disagree with others, can you explain more about how India and China are the same team? Is that a reference to them still buying crude oil from Russia? That seems like a, cheaper prices, let's take advantage. Last I knew they were still having border fights, but maybe that has stopped now. For the good of the innocent civilians forced into those scenarios, I hope it has.
