Rules:

Any slap-fight is subject to comment removals. Fights full of rule violations will result in temporary bans to cool off.
- No manipulating votes via bots or alt accounts; this will result in permanent bans. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in an account ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be permanently banned.
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules and use critical thinking when reading, posting, and commenting. Users that repeatedly have comments or posts removed, weaponize reports, or violate the code of conduct, will be banned.

MODERATORS
Personally, it kinda feels like a weight's been lifted. Now I can let go of the last shred of pretense of this country being anything other than a fat fucking joke.
I'm now aware that the US contains 71 million fascists, racists, sexist, bigots, or a combination of all 4.
I stopped by Walmart today and spent the entire time painfully aware that I was... surrounded.
I'm with you there. I mean don't get me wrong, I sure do feel depressed and also morbidly curious/looking forward to the upcoming schadenfreude, but yeah just accepting that America is really a racist country and it's not going to change.
Just going to bide my time here since I'm too old to move even with a tech job and encourage my kid to go to college abroad.
I was really hoping this sentiment would take hold the first time Trump won and it would awaken people to the boiling pot mass charade we are in.
It did not.
I do not have much hope for this time around.
Every time something terrible happens, we expect that at least we got to learn from the experience.
