Today's challenge: trying to figure out how to make a bot. I can find some great examples of what coding to use, but I am still trying to find anything to tell me where to actually put that code. Hopefully I can work it out and get an automated Daily Thread set up in the near future. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it!
We believe in you!
Maybe?

I have been looking at that, and it has lots of great information about what code to use, but it does not have anything about where you use it. I get the impression it is basic information that most people doing that sort of thing already know, so they don't talk about it. Sort of like finding lots of detailed shoelace tying instructions when what you are trying to find out is where to find a shoe 🤣
All good, maybe reach out to the admin of aussie.zone
Its a shame Lemmy is too new for chatgpt to be much use, I've found it to be a pretty helpful jumping off point for things like this
I've decided to go old school and contacted people I actually know in real life. Fingers crossed they actually know something!
