Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

US Muslim leaders who supported Republican Donald Trump to protest against the Biden administration’s support for Israel’s war on Gaza and attacks on Lebanon have been deeply disappointed by his cabinet picks, they tell Reuters.

“Trump won because of us and we’re not happy with his Secretary of State pick and others,” says Rabiul Chowdhury, a Philadelphia investor who chaired the Abandon Harris campaign in Pennsylvania and co-founded Muslims for Trump. Muslim support for Trump helped him win Michigan and may have factored into other swing state wins, strategists believe.

I'm not lumping in jack shit buddy, you're just backtracking on the stupid Islamophobic shit you've been saying and backing up here. Again, since you seem to have a blind spot for your own comments

Again, if you're only talking about Muslims that voted trump, make that actually fucking clear instead of just saying Muslims are stupid and not worth appealing to (or "teaching", as you say since you're so much smarter than those savages)

I never said Muslims are stupid. I never actually said Muslim voters for trump are stupid (though i do think that.) I clarified that someone else said Muslim Trump voters are stupid, not Muslims are stupid. This whole crusade (pun definitely intended) you've gone on is completely misdirected, and kinda adorable. You're just virtue signaling so hard.

I agree that Muslim trump voters are stupid. And sure, you never said Muslims are stupid, but that's sure as fuck how your "teaching a fish to ride a unicycle" spiel came across. You're opposing the idea of trying to teach people to recognize scams, bc they're so stupid there's no point in trying. If the "they" you're talking about is just Muslim trump voters, try actually saying that instead of just implying something more bigoted and acting superior when someone interprets bigoted looking garbage as bigoted garbage. And just in general, try not being a self righteous asshat just bc someone doesn't 100% tow the liberal line, bc you and your buddies are really really bad for that, and again, it loses you voters and gains you nothing. But what do I know? I'm just some stupid leftie, not an ascended liberal white savior like your highness

In a conversation about muslims who voted for trump, calling "them" stupid is calling muslims who voted for trump stupid, because muslims who voted for trump are the subject. Since you agree with that, it is your poor reading comprehension that is at fault. You abandoned the context of the "who voted for trump" qualifier and went off on a rant about bigotry.

Why did you ignore the subject of the conversation, you know, the context, so you could go off on a rant about how elitist, and bigoted, libs are? That is the only way you could have come to the conclusion you did. You have to ignore that the subject of the conversation is not muslims but muslims + who voted for trump. This is on you. You are the one in the wrong.

Oop good point about the article, I forgot the comments I've been replying to have been on an article specifically about Muslim trump voters. Sorry, that was dumb and I should've paid attention to that in the first place

Hey, it happens, as long as you can look back at yourself and realize it, it's cool. Everyone struggles with this shit, I know I have a big issue with it myself.
