The AP article made a mistake,

Democrat Sarah McBride — the first transgender person to be elected to Congress

She is the first OPENLY transgender person elected to Congress.

I can't be sure she is the first. I think everyone in Congress should be required to show their genitals on live TV at the start of every session. That way the American people can be sure they know who they've voted for. We don't want liars in Congress do we?
