Installing OpenRGB effects plugin crashes OpenRGB (feddit.de)

I'm on Archlinux and Im using the openrgb-git aur package
Does anyone here know how to fix this?

Yeah, because the stable version is for the stable version of OpenRGB (the versions usually match), but openrgb-git should be a fairly recent build from git.

Also you're running 0.8 but it looks like 0.9 of the plugin is out anyway.
