Nice rant. I see things trending in a positive direction, 10 years ago everyone just used Youtube and facebook. Now we have so many pretty good options it is a matter of time where private by default options will be the only suitable choice.

It is important to almost everyone, you just shouldn't have to actively take care of it. This has also been a principle of Monero from the very beginning: Everyone who uses it enjoys privacy without having to enforce it manually.
