Someone threatened a powerful person and then the powerful person made sure to retaliate in a highly public way which would link their own brand to the murder?

Sometimes I wonder why my conservative family thinks that liberals are just as conspiratorial as conservatives, then I come across the comment you responded to and go "yeaaaah still don't agree but I see where you would think that" lol
