Why would I leave reddit for an app with ads? Seems stupid to me
Simple. The reason I left reddit wasn't because of adds, it was because they screwed over 3rd party apps. When my preferred 3rd party app from reddit transitioned to Lemmy, why wouldn't I continue using it?
The reason I used reddit was because of bacon reader which had no ads. Nuff said.
The privacy policy also seems intrusive. I'm gonna tap out and stay with Connect.
Yeah, same. I uninstalled the second I saw that crap. Trying to minimize that kind of junk and yet here we are.
