Its so obvious Reddit is just swarming with bot users. Not sure why most users haven't just come to Lemmy already.

there was a post a few years ago, that reddit was about half bot comments, mostly from propaganda sources. reddit has been cracking down on the wrong bots though, going after of accts mostly.

Fediverse complexity is definitely part of it. But it does keep some of the riff raff out.

I honestly dont think its complicated. People who cant figure it out or look on YouTube wouldn't probably have great ideas to share. 😆
