Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.

As a Californian, I would love for us to become Canada’s newest province.
They don't want us. I already asked. But CA, OR, and WA can secede and make Cascadia minus the Canadian portion.
New England needs to consider leaving the US too. It's like we are in an abusive relationship now.

As a resident of the Canadian portion of Cascadia I'd be in favour of a European style union of your former states and Canada. Unfortunately you're too big and too ~~American (for lack of a better term)~~ heavily armed [found it] to just let you in. Maybe we could handle Hawaii but I'm sure they'd probably rather be their own country than join us which is totally fair.
Too bad Arizona is in the way, NM wants to join you at least parts of us do.
I'd take California in a minute, please join us. We could use a little bit of sunshine.

I wouldn't, as Canadian, because California would fully dominate such a union. It would be Canada joining California, not the reverse. Economically, politically, you'd be the biggest and most important province. I doubt you'll be happy being part of Confederation or being technically a monarchy.
Conveniently, if any states were to join Canada, they would most likely do so as territories (at least initially), and so would be somewhat politically neutered.
It'd be half-and-half. That's being easy going with Quebec though, right? /s

It’s not up to Trump. The Constitution doesn’t let us leave. That doesn’t mean we can’t, it means we will immediately be at war with the US if we do.
Honestly, Cali is already at war with the US. The current administration is already talking about withholding all kinds of random shit for cali. That sounds like an attack to me.
Trump has already drained some reservoirs without consulting experts, plus ICE is on the prowl. California is going to feel serious pain come harvest season.
And when cali doesn’t pay federal taxes, the US treasury will feel it.

Inspiration for a sequel. After Trump and friends are spending time at Mussolini's, we will need to make a whole new government. Having a blueprint for making a better Constitution will be helpful for making the rehabilitation process.

The south was completely uun by Confederates after the civil war, and they basically kept power to.this day.
It's a common problem for political reform. Because of gatekeeping, the people with the skillset and capital needed to run things tend to be aligned with the same ideology you're trying to get rid of.
This is why we have universities for polisci, outside the south where reading is considered effeminate and the only books that matter are the new and old testaments.
