Probably because there is power knowledge incumbents have. It's not always bad.
But in this case the democratic old guard has lost it since the Harris defeat. They need to go.
Chuck and pelosi have been holding onto power with a death grip for decades. Don't give me bullshit about "since the Harris defeat." I don't understand how they maintained their voter base when they haven't listened to constituents in ages. Just laughing them out of their offices.
