People tweeting stuff. We allow tweets from anyone.
RULES:
- Mark NSFW content.
- No doxxing people.
- Must be a pic of the tweet or similar. No direct links to the tweet.
- No international politcs
- Be excellent to each other.
- Provide an archived link to the tweet (or similar) being shown if it's a major celebrity, figure or any politician. If you replace the "x" at their site with xcancel (so it beomes xcancel.com), and you're not on mobile, it will save video. https://web.archive.org/save is another great option. Archive.is is no longer recommended because they remove/alter content.
- If a tweet (or similar) makes a statement of fact, either mark it as "satire" in the body or provide the original source link backing up the statement

Oh don't be fooled. Lemmy doesn't care about it at all either. If you say the right things they will ban you without a second thought. They just happen to be ok with those things here.
Lemmy is a piece of software. Who "cares" or doesn't is dependant on the people administrating instances you use or communicate with.
Decentralization. Don't think there's a place for your speech? Run your own server.
Or just change instances. They can’t really stop you from doing that.
Really depends on the server/instance. Like, lemmy.world is just an exact clone of Reddit, so talking out of line is never acceptable, and the Communist Triad will remove any comments with facts that refute their paper thin arguments, but there are plenty of instances that aren't like that at all.
