Rules:

- No memes, trolling, misinformation, or low-effort posts/comments (including reposts). If you see posts like this that anger you, do not engage. Report, block, and live a happier life than they do. Any slap-fight is subject to comment removals. Fights full of rule violations will result in temporary bans to cool off.
- No manipulating votes via bots or alt accounts; this will result in permanent bans. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in an account ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be permanently banned.
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules and use critical thinking when reading, posting, and commenting. Users that repeatedly have comments or posts removed, weaponize reports, or violate the code of conduct, will be banned.

MODERATORS
I sometimes have this weird fantasy where Trump is an actual genius, and his plan all along was to destroy the Republican party. I imagine him sitting on the crapper with a McDouble in one hand and his phone in the other, trying to come up with the most insane tweets he can, getting frustrated that his plan is taking so long and thinking to himself "why are these people liking this shit? It's obviously bat shit crazy!"
Then I come back down to this Hellscape reality and sigh as I accept that the world is just full of stupid, greedy, selfish people, and Trump is an avatar for all the worst human impulses, and that tens of millions of people would gladly follow him off a cliff so long as they get to drag the rest of us over the edge with them.
I truly hate this place.
It's such a fucking nightmare...
I console myself by acknowledging that the only way we're going to get a true Socialist-Democrat in office is following this batshit insanity. All we really need is for the democratic party to stop roadblocking Bernie Sanders. Hopefully this time they don't 😭
Sanders will be 86 years old when the next election happens. The dnc doesn't need to roadblock him, the ravages of age and/or the grim reaper will do it for them. He's never going to be president.
This is one of the reasons he's been touring everywhere with AOC. He's trying to get people to understand that she is his political heir. He can't keep this up much longer.
