Thanks to Wiimmfi, Modded Wii's and any DS can still play online. even using Dolphin or MelonDS.

Standard matchmaking does work on Wiimmfi, but you may not be able to count on actually finding anyone in the queue.

Mario Kart DS is a gamble unless its at peak hours, but Mario kart Wii nearly always has a couple hundred people online
